UMD Appoints Director of Charitable Efforts

The United Macedonian Diaspora (UMD) is pleased to announce the appointment of UMD Chicago Representative Natalia Buling-Betinski as the new UMD Director of Charitable Efforts.  Buling-Betinski will oversee all of UMD’s charitable programs, including the coordination of UMD’s annual Ajvar 5K Run/Walk, which will be held across several cities this September.

“Expanding of Natalia’s role is due to her great performance as Chicago representative, and we are certain she will do wonders coordinating our charitable efforts,” said UMD Board Chairman Stojan Nikolov.

“I am honored and thankful for the confidence UMD has bestowed in me.  I look forward to being a part of projects that benefit Macedonians in need, including those who suffered from the recent flooding in the region of Strumica.” said Buling-Betinski, “The Macedonian Diaspora has a unique responsibility to give back to those in Macedonia and abroad that need our help.”

UMD has undertaken a wide variety of charitable projects in Macedonia over several years, such as providing clothing for the elderly, school supplies for children, and blankets for the needy.
